Would you like to be a part of a life-saving team? Can you share your time and talents to connect people and pets? Here are a few opportunities open to volunteers at ARF:
Become a volunteer and join ARF’s team! The work ARF accomplishes would not be possible without the many generous contributions of its dedicated volunteers. The gift of your time to the organization in a variety of roles extends ARF's resources and provides the support necessary to save lives and support relationships between people and pets.
Adult volunteer positions are for those ages 18 and older. ARF asks for a six month commitment of at least eight hours a month. ARF is unable to accommodate short-term community service volunteer opportunities or sign off on hours before a six month commitment is complete. See Volunteer FAQs.
Volunteer Information Session
Prospective volunteers must attend an informative 90 minute Volunteer Information Session to learn about ARF’s mission, history, and goals, as well as current volunteer opportunities and needs. Registrations are accepted up to four weeks in advance. Space is limited and registration is required. Sign up online or call (925) 256-1273. If the event you select does not show an available time, the session is full. Please contact the volunteer department with additional questions.
